The GCI Mentorship Program 2024

Eligibility:

  • Our Mentors are professionals across industries (which have historically included business, law, STEM and the arts) with a variety of skills and interests. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated experience both working with youth and designing and implementing long range projects. 
Commitment:

As a GCI Mentor you will...

  • Support a GCI Fellow as they launch a service project in their community. Mentors provide one on one guidance throughout the year long planning and execution process and encourage their GCI Fellow to iterate and update their plans to meet changing circumstances. 
  • Connect with your assigned Fellow in person or by video conference for approximately one hour every other month for twelve months (July-June).
  • Join the full cohort of Fellows and Mentors for four topic based discussions and brainstorming sessions (Sept, Nov, Feb, April).
  • Celebrate the accomplishments of the 2024 cohort of GCI Fellows at a virtual Commencement Ceremony and Seed Funding Announcement (June).

Mentorship Matches occur on a rolling basis March - June
Note: Participation in this program is contingent on a successful background check.

Completion of the following forms will be required prior to connecting with a 2024 Fellow:
  • Guidelines for Maintaining Healthy Boundaries (review and sign)
  • Safe Environment Acknowledgement Form (review and sign)
  • Background Check Authorization Form (complete and sign)
  • Content and Media Release (review and sign)
